Lately I have been haunted. Everywhere I look .... movies, books, conversation with friends, television, lyrics...everywhere. All of these things keep talking about stories. They keep telling me about making life a better story. They also tell me it takes risk. The other word that keeps coming up ..... FEAR...
Yep. You heard me. That four letter F-word keeps creeping around in the background. When I hear of reasons why poeple don't live a more fulfilling life it's because their fear rules them. Ultimately causing them to live in a life of comfort and often regret.
I also discovered that many times when people do make a step toward a better story, it is caused by something that changed his/her life forever. A tragedy, a major decision, a relationship. That is when they realize that you either get to living or get to dying, they had better hurry up and get to living!!!
So, I take it God is trying to tell me something in a not-so-subtle way. AND, for those of you making major decisions, you should think about your story too.

It is scary to think that every decision you make in life is writing your story! To look back and think that one decision could have changed the way your life turned out completely!!! But, we have an advantage in knowing that at such a young age! We can start praying about every decision we make now so we can make a God-guided decisions!!! Good luck!!
I completely agree! "Writing a better story" has been a theme of my life lately too. I'm discovering, though, that maybe -- for now -- my story won't be what others might describe as big. Instead, my story might be quiet and small, but that doesn't mean its impact has to be small. (We also had a conversation on my other blog, chew*, about this very thing. I'll be posting the audio soon. I think you'll enjoy the conversation, and I'd love your thoughts too!)

Annie, I am trying to finish Donald Miller's book in time for the March addition of chew*. I love his book!!! I am still trying to figure out what my story is going to be about!!
