Day 9: shopping

OH nelly. Does anyone despise Christmas shopping as much as me? NOW, NOW don't get me wrong .... I love giving. I love the look on a loved one's face when he/she opens a gift and their eyes light up. Actually, I am going to give myself kudos, because I am rather good at giving gifts if I do say so myself. The hustle and bustle of the season is just not my thing. I don't want to fight anyone or camp out in front of a store. Holl if you hear me!

I worked in retail for 6 years. I have experienced the way shoppers can be. I believe that after spending many-a-Christmas with mean old women barking orders at me or mad because they can't have a monogram done in a day jaded me. To be honest, this is the first Christmas I have really felt in the spirit in a while. It's nice to be able to enjoy this time of year.

Also, does anyone else find that they end up shopping for themself while shopping for others and ultimately spending too much money?!?! I'll admit it, I struggle. It's kinda the "one for you, two for me" concept. Is this just my only child syndrome kicking in?
